This pedal is based off of the MXR phase 45 and 90. The circuit for these pedals is the same, just one has an extra two stages of phasing. The build went quite smoothly, but it didn't work when I plugged it in for the first time. This is why:

For pedals such as phasers to work, you must use matched transistors. I didn't know that until I already stuffed the transistors and plugged it in for the first time to try and test it. As soon as I put in surface mount J201s; however, it worked immediately. This is because surface mount J201s have a very low tolerance, making the transistors closer to matched.
